Bizarre Stuff

From our "Ooo, do that again" department comes the story of Goeran Rudolfsson of Stockholm, Sweden, who had been complaining of a congestion since his brain tumor operation in June. Last week, he found out why. According to reports, Mr. Rudolfsson was blowing his nose when he felt something unusual. It turned out to be a 31-inch cloth mistakenly left inside his head during the surgery. Rudolfsson grabbed one end of the cloth, and pulled it out through his nose... In a related story, Troy Harding showed up at a Portland, Oregon hospital with an unusual complaint- a car antenna stuck in his brain. Harding told police that he was "turning away" from his 1984 Pontiac Fiero when the antenna poked into his nose, through his sinus cavity, and into his brain. Harding managed to free himself, and lost only about a pint of blood, according to doctors... and now, even those far-away stations come in really clear... The city of Helsingborg, Sweden, announced plans this week to use the local crematorium to heat resident's homes. According to officials, most of the heat would come from a secondary burn chamber. A crematorium spokesman reassured reporters that "only a little bit of the energy...would come from bodies." Air freshener, anyone?
